Holly Jolly Improv - Tickets on Sale Now
A slew of made for TV romantic holiday films are released with heartwarming stories, low stakes and always a happy ending. "Christmas Scavenger Hunt", "Hot Chocolate Holiday" and even "Saying Yes to Christmas" star a collection of bakers, lawyers and stressed-out event planners rediscovering the real meaning of the season. And the real meaning of true love too!
So in this Improvised Theatre special, our team of talented actors will perform two stories of love for the season. The first half we'll try to hit the formula as best we can - and in the second half with your prompts see how far we can stretch it!
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to UGM’s mobile mission van here in Victoria. They bring hope, connection and dignity to those experiencing homelessness.
We create, produce and direct theatre productions
Enigmatic Events Collective started out as an accidental theatre producer - and now embraces the form as a way to share our creative side. Chris intended to just run murder mysteries and team building events. But after being asked to work on a dinner theatre show, plans changed.
Starting in 2016, we produced our first dinner theatre show “Murder By Midnight” and then directed, and produced our first ever fringe show, “A Quiet Season”. It was during that production that Chris and Nat started a collaboration that’s lasted for almost a decade.
We work with talented actors to create improvised stories that have (we hope!) a strong narrative. We value story, characters and role-playing over comedy and skits.
Our productions
2016 - ‘Murder By Midnight’ - a dinner theatre mystery
2016 - ‘A Quiet Season’ - at the Victoria Fringe Festival
2017 - ‘Murder on the Agenda’ - a dinner theatre mystery
2017 - ‘Jukebox Drive’ - Nanaimo and Victoria Fringe
2018 - ‘#past #present #future’ - Victoria Fringe
2022 - ‘Holly Jolly Improv’ - at Intrepid Theatre
2025 - ‘Holly Jolly Improv’ - coming this November!
